Crowns and Veneers
A tooth with large restoration often fractures regardless of what you eat due to weakened tooth. When fracture happens sometimes the tooth cannot be saved. When it can be saved a crown restoration is recommended. A crown restoration covers the whole tooth around, 360 degrees and the top. The outside of the tooth is prepared/shaved down for a crown and typically a temporary crown is placed on the same day. A crown is also recommended for any tooth with large, old restoration(s) to prevent an accident of fracturing.
You can have a new smile with all-porcelain crowns on the front teeth. For the back teeth, we recommend porcelain fused to metal crowns for better durability and longevity.
